Review Reblog: Parlour Coffee
Day 155: Mmm, cookies …
Today, I decided to visit Parlour Coffee, a new coffee shop located in downtown Winnipeg. While waiting for my coffee (the beans are freshly ground and brewed as ordered), I enjoyed this yummy chocolate chip cookie. If I may say, the coffee was EXQUISITE and totally worth the wait.

Luxalune is proud to boast the largest beer selection in Manitoba. With over 150 beers, owners of Luxalune needed to come up with a fun and creative way to educate their staff about beer. Luxalune not only wanted to serve interesting beers from around the world, but wanted servers and bartenders to be able to educate Customers about what they are drinking and the history and quirks behind each beer. “Beer College” was born! We have a beer professor come to Luxalune and sample beers to our staff; it is an informative and fun night for everyone involved.
Customers immediately noticed the positive and excited energy that Luxalune staff had surrounding beer. After popular demand and countless requests for the public to attend our staff Beer College we decided to create a “Customer Beer College”
Customer Beer College is held on the last Tuesday of every month. A beer professor is always present (the past 3 have been hosted by the MLCC’s top beer expert Stephen Moran) We choose 5 or 6 beers to sample, along with Luxalune tapas. Our host provides great information on the beers that are being tasted. It’s a fun way for beer lovers to expand their “beer repertoire”.

Review Reblog: Sa’aadal Kheyr
164 Isabel St
(204) 415-5166My favourite family restaurant in Winnipeg, Sa’aadal Kheyr, delivers delicious, fragrant food every time. I’m glad they’ve survived another year and have been so well-received by the general public!
Easy on the wallet, sensational on the tongue - Winnipeg Free PressSa’aadal Kheyr is a genuine family restaurant, with mom Roda in the kitchen and her two sons out front. Service can be slow at times but the ambiance is warm. Allow enough time and be patient — the food is worth the wait.
